Catherine Harrell, M.D.
Catherine Harrell, M.D. was born and raised in North Texas. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the prestigious University Scholars program. It was there that she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from University of Texas Medical School at Houston and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She went on to complete her preliminary internship year at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in internal medicine and completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She has and continues to publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly participates in academic conferences. She particularly enjoys teaching and lecturing to medical students and residents.
Dr. Harrell excels in medical dermatology, cutaneous oncology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of several societies, including American Mensa, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, running half-marathons, hiking, and traveling. She and her husband are active members of Houston’s First Baptist Church, where they met.
